Yes, the converter will still lock up 1:1 when cruising.

    228R or 224R Cam

Ok guys im now pretty much settled on ether a 224R or 228R Im about to order this cam in a few days i just cant make my mind up on ether a 112 or 114 lsa? Has anyone every swap between the both? or prefered one over the other?

I know 112 will help me down low but weak up top and the 114 will be kinda weak down low but good up top.

Ive listened to many idle clips and i like both 112 and 114 im just looking for the best option to get my 4400lbs truck moving quick through out the whole rpm range. I dont want any weak points...

Thanks for all your help so far people!!

Are you running a stock TC? If so, get the 114 LSA...

I am running a 228/230 on a 112 with a 300 stall. Love it just wish I had went with a bigger stall. Got good power and torque through the whole range. Only problem I have is getting traction through 1st and 2nd gear. Here is an idle clip of the truck at 1000 rpm, sounds better at 850 when truck is warmed up though.

You know your truck sounds good when cops ask you to get on it.
