    Thumbs down 2nd gear smashed!

    so im going up to the farm to feed my sisters pig for her 4H class and im on this straight away (any one from ventura county, knows ojai rd in front of steckle park) and this guy is on my ass in this big dodge diesel and im like your gonna have to put up a fight to pass me and he goes to pass and we both go full throtle and i was in 2nd gear when i went to the floor and nothing happened it was the most lag ive ever scene in my truck i felt ashamed

    what can i do to prevent this from happening ever agin?

    Ditch the superchips and get a good performance tune, 4:10's would help if you don't already have them.

    Nelson Performance - Performance without Sacrificing Drivability is who most of us recommend. Or go to a local speed shop and see if they tune your year model trucks.

    Ummm..it might have a lot to do with what speed and what RPMs you were running when you downshifted. There is a bad spot in your shift points where the tranny won;t drop into first and rap it up. How fast were you going when you punched it?

    i had to be doing 45 if that and i let off and thats when it down shifted and rpms were like 1200 when it shifted and the second i punched it was slow as hell

    40-50 is TERRRIBLLEEE for our trucks. 50-60 is real nice. Especially with a tune
