    ok...so how do the 4.8/5.3 heads flow compared to the ls1 heads?

    you could use ls1 heads on the 4.8\5.3 to raise compression due to the smaller 66.7cc chambers right?

    Actually, a 5.3 head has a smaller chamber... Casting #862 and 706 '99 and up 4.8-5.3l trucks
    Chambers = 61cc

    yep this is what kills the 4.8/5.3 in the aftermarket head game.. we are already running the smallest combustion chamber by far.. and if you go to milling the heads you just start to eat into the combustion chamber so I am not so sure it even helps raise compression. so we are stuck with trying to find smaller bore/compress more whatever head gaskets that might net us .4-5 compression.. sux..
