I ran into one of my friends today that has about an 06 duramax. Hes put about 5k worth of performance mods into it, so its pretty fast! We both had some time to kill so we pulled onto the road goin up to my house. Its about a half mile long and perfectly flat and straight. I started us and off the line i pulled him by about a half length. When we hit about 40 we were even and when we got about half way down the road and goin 75 0r 80 he was about 1/2 length in front. Even though I lost, id say my truck did pretty good for only having an intake vs. his fully tuned w/ full turbo back Banks exhaust and intake!

Nice run but a Dmax with 5k in mods will be pushing low 11's.

i dont know about low 11 but it would be fast it also depends on which d- max he has lbz or so on but nice run

Ya, an 06 lbz done right on 5k woth of mods will do low 12s. And they are monsters off the line. I never get touched off the line by anything 2wd on the street. Just curiouse which tuner he has.

i know my freind 06 ecsb 2500 lbz with8500in it is a 12.20 truck but the trans and converter was like 3000 grand for the parts but also the 8500 is with us doing the work and it is very fun out of the whole especially on the shot

Hes got an edge programmer, i think. He might have some more mods too, thtas all that im sure he has done. Im sure he would have KILLED me off the line, but he just spun until abut 2nd

I hear you, he has to start in 4x4 to get a good launch. Im not a fan of edge, the best two for the Dmax are PPE and EFI live. I know those new 6.2s are fast though, are you going to do any big mods to it?

Not BIG, but im doin a Nelson tune and full dual exhaust. I want to eventually do a cam.
