soo check these out... there is 1 big purple wire.. i am assuming that is the starter solenoid wire i need to tie the other big purple wire into?

also i need the fuel pump positive wire... would that be red or orange and i can just use the fuse box for that aswell? there is a relay that's labeled "Fuel pump Relay" as far as the pink wires go there is 3 as far as i can see in this picture. i have two fuses labeled ing A and Ign B would i be using one of these? does it matter which?? thanks

I'm glad your asking all these questions.

I will be doing the same thing in the next couple days.

    Keep up the good work

With all the pics you have and how some people like myself have no knowledge of wiring, I think this should be a sticky.

if someone documents a complete harness install, I'll definitely stick that! Take lots of pics.

I have been told the fuel pump wire is gray but I'm not sure.

yeah, the positive wire going to the fuel pump is a grey wire. The wire coming out of the pcm for the fuel pump should be a grounding wire to trigger the relay on the firewall, if you have one. I don't know if they wired in a fuel pump relay into the harness.

so should i trace the grey wire from the fuel pump back to the pcm and splice the fuel pump wire into it or whats the best route here?

Usually the purple wire would tie into the small terminal on the starter solenoid.

well in the first picture you can see 1 big purple wire and i believe it goes right into the starter relay so thats the wire i was going to use to connect my 5.3 harness' purple wire to.

Does it have a fuel pump relay in the reworked wiring harness? If yes, then it would tie into the grey wire going to the fuel tank. You might call and ask Melissa to ask Jonathan.
