    CAI and efans

Finally getting the efans on, found a good donor at the junk yard to fix a bad motor on my original set of ls1 fans. im bout halfway done right now installing them. im just running them to a switch for now, already have a nelson harness, just waiting to get enough $ to have nelson tune it and get my hp tuners. CAI will go on tomorrow morning, wish me luck!

Are you going to run them off the battery until you wire up the harness? Make sure to get atleast a 30A inline fuse and a 30A toggle switch. If not, the fans will not get enough juice from the battery...

got a 40A fuse inline right now, im doing it all correctly so its taking forever it may get done tonight, ill have pics up by tomorrow i think. the fan took 5 seconds to get off i was surprised. it already looks so much better and i havent even got the new CAI on yet. lil things do cause frustrations though especially with no help haha. im in the midst of running the wiring to the cab and its driving me nuts. sometimes a clothes hanger just isnt stiff enough to push the wires through tight spaces...

I have one of those because I have no AC. But I still think I have relays as well to cycle and such

yeah i have no ac. i have no reason to run just one fan either. id like to set it up to where they run if the truck is on and not when its off but also have a manual override to make them run whenever i want them to. cant have everything tho.

thats how i had my truck setup before i did the swap. the elec fans were controlled by a thermo probe that stuck thru the fins of the radiator and a switch on the dash so i could turn them on whenever i wanted.

the reason i say use a relay is so you arent having to run the power needed for the fans thru a switch. they use alot of amps and its not good to have that much power running thru your firewall and dash. its pretty easy to setup on relays and much safer.
