    parking brake

    ok i got in my yukon today and let off the brake and started down the road and the parking brake light stayed on and the annoying chime kept going off. i depressed and released the brake numerous times but nothing works its driving me nuts!! doesnt feel like th brake is still on while driving anyone have an idea for what might be wrong? normal brakes dont seem to be affected it stops fine

    The pedal might have a switch it comes in contact with when depressed. This is what makes the light come on. It might be stuck or just went out and its time to replace.

    this is why i hate electronics lol. hopefeully if it stops raining ill go out and check it out

    well i checked for the switch but found nothing and looked for fuses ect and checked brake fluid everything is good :wtf: its driving me nuts i can barely stand to drive down my street cause of the annoying chime "ding ding ding ding ding" grrr if all else fails ill take it to the dealer tomarrow before i go to work and i hope its just a quick fix and nothing major. it just triped 60k like lastnight think it could be a maintenence thing

    looked for the switch and ouldnt find anything im going to look again tonight and if i cant find it its going to the dealer in the morning to check it out
