There's no way that you could siphon a tank so dry that the motor won't start.

I agree. Maybe her gas gauge wasn't working, and she thought she still had enough in the tank, but she was really on fumes, literally.

the tank was dry but the lines had fuel in them. she normally can go about 650 miles to a tank (32 gal tank) she averages about 20 MPG. and even the miles were far from what she normally has. when the gas light comes on she has about 5 gal left. her gas light didn't even come on before she parked it the night before. it could have been busted or stolen who knows, but the past 2 weeks in my general neborhood there has been a gang going around breaking into cars, taking stereos, lap tops, speakers, tail gates, and amps and taking gas from there tanks. To break into the new cars they would cut the glass pop the hood and cut the battery cables. the older ones, they cut the weather stripping off, and tore threw the door. My friends 1990 454SS got ripped apart. they stole his touch screen dvd player/cd player. his speakers and cut his wiring harness and stole his a/c vents. he needs all new wiring, a new dash, all new plastic around the back of the cab were they pried it to try and steal his 200 pound sub box. His interior is totaled. Anyway these guys knew what they were doing, did it in about 1 hr to the hole street. so i wouldn't put it past them to steal gas from our street too

Holy crap!! Sounds like it's time to move or build a garage. That really sucks. Sorry to hear it.

Carry concealed permits are not required in Alaska. What about Texas?

sounds like y'all need to sit on the roof with a deer rifle and start picking off the douche bags. personally i would set up a few claymores get a jug of something and wait for the little bastards.

I'd invest in a 40-cal for sure. I've been looking to get a Sig for a long time. Just don't have the need for it (relatively safe neighborhood with tight neighbors).

I siphoned gas from my truck without even trying (during the motor swap on my C10). All you need is a small external pump, and a 5-gallon can. No rocket science there.

Yes, a CHL is required here--but a lot of people carry anyway...
