    welcome.

I'm not that hip on cams but I think a 2002 or newer Z06 cam is probably what you're looking for with the Z71.

thanks, i've been thinking of letting a local speed shop here in town custom grind me one and do a tune i've herd a lot of good things about them. i still would like to upgrade my pushrods and rocker arms, i don't want to have to change out my tc thought (03 5.3 ) sorry no pics yet my little bro put her in a gaurdrail last week but i should get her back next week i'll snap some pics then, curent mods coolant bypass, k&n fpk2 intake, descreened MAF, planned mods dynatech headers, high flow cats, y pipe into a complete magnaflow cat back split duals 05' dual electric fan swap, underdrive pulleys(any ideas on brand for the pulleys?) and a tune after the cam.

Do NOT get a custom ground cam unless they will give you a 100% replacement warranty for the cam, lifters and labor to replace it should it fail. Cams are heat treated about .050" deep from the surface prior to final grind on new blanks. When they regrind a used cam to your specs, they usually grind through the hardened section of the material and get into the soft area causing early failure and great expense on your behalf. Get a new cam from a reputable company or a stock replacement unit.

Gary...what you just said should have never been said. Keep those thoughts in that small brain of yours.

    Welcome to the site man!

Cam swaps? What is that? I don;t think we've done any of those...
Hmmm...a streetable cam for a Z71 that will run good on a stock TC. Well, you will probably not want to go any higher than a 220/220 .550/.550 if you wanna keep your stock TC. Maybe a 216/218 .525/.529 114 LSA. That might if your needs well...

Do some Pacesetter Long tube headers that are ceramic coated and use the Pacesetter y-pipe as well.
As for the UD pulleys, make sure to get the harmonic baslancer as well as the alt. pulley. ASP and MotoBlue make some for our trucks.
