okay well i was dubbing around with the 4.3 the other day and some frigen how i over looked the temp sensor on the head its a 1 wire sensor with a rubber gromet covering it. this is the one i should be using correct? the other one i pulled has a long dipstick looking thing like the one in the drivers side head of the 5.3

Yep, thats the one you should have been using. Save some engine money for an eye exam.

dude SERIOUSLY GREG i was like WHAT THE HELL i eagle eyed that whole damn motor then i was moving the thing out of the way and i just noticed it... and i was like you must be fing kidding me....
