    I hear ya! I bet 15 would be the limit with a heavy vehicle and that 4L80E trans.

    With the noise that makes, why not just pull the carpet up and put down some dynamat or something to lower the volume. They make some you can stick on the firewall and under the hood, too.

    Have you ever driven a diesel? I don't think the dynamat would help too much. When the windows are open around town is the worst....

    I am on the way for a similar swap

    Hey... anothor diesel tired guy..

    I am on the way to swap a drivetrain out of a K1500 1997 Tahoe into a 1997 K2500 6.5TD Suburban. But I will use the 5,7 Vortec and it's original 4L60E, I only swap the transfercase from the 4L80E to the 4L60E. I try to use the fuel pump assembly out of the Tahoe, but I am wondering if it will fit in the fuel tank of the Suburban?
    Did you recieve any more info on this?

    Sorry, I haven't found anything out about the tank yet. How many gallons is the Tahoe tank?
