    how to calculate hp

i have been looking into getting some headers for the TBSS and have seen alot of claims of 40hp for full exhaust systems, including headers and true duals. i have always wondered if its okay to add these up when your trying to estimate your horsepower, like my cold air intake was supposedly a 18.something gain, and the e-fans and tune was around 30 and the full exhaust is supposed to be 40. i have read that components work better when together so i should get even more than what they add by themselves. but individually that 88hp on a engine making about 320whp stock thats around 400 at the wheels. not too shabby.

Sorry, you just can't add the gains.

x2....and the gains that the companies report are generally very exaggerated as well.

ehh, oh well it will still be a decent gain. and I'll find out what she really puts down once everything is on. i guess i could also try to find someone with the same mads and see what they are putting down, but my truck seems to run better than most i guess because of being right at sea level. well what do you guys think she will be at with those mods?

it depends on the size of the sticker you put on the back window and what it says.

DBTBSS has just that, and runs better than 13.4 in the quarter. That is hauling the mail for just those mods.

well right now all i have is a k&n cai and muffler delete and i run 13.33 so after the tune and e-fan i hope to be about 13.0-13.1. most guys on the tbss forum are see gains of about 25-30 from combined tune and e-fans. i just ordered the e-fans and tune today.
