Thread: Tranny Question

    I was just wondering I have an 02 Sierra Denali and I have been tryin to find out what kinda tranny it has in it. I would think it has a 4l80 but dont exacly know.

    Your Yukon Denali has a 4L65E. GM only uses the 4L80E in the 2500 and heavier models.

    Crawl up under there and check it out. They cast the model number in the tranny now. Mine is on the passenger side, cast in letters at least an inch tall 4L60E.

    I have one too! Its a 4L65e.

    4L60-E HD here....that was what they called the heavy duty 4L60 before they renamed it the 4L65-E.

    And yes, your Sierra Denali has a 4L65-E
