No problem, I talked with Mark this morning and he started on my headers today. Hopefully he'll have them finished by Monday and on the way back to me for final fitment. Once final fitment is made they will be sent back for the fixture that will be used for mass production. We just want to make sure that there are no fitment problems for the end user. There will be a disclaimer with the headers stating that the proper adapter plates be used for motor positioning vertical and horizontal.

Don't get too excited-- Nitrous is getting up there in years and doesn't move as fast as he used to.
C'mon Dave give me a break! LOL :bsflag:
Hey guys, how about giving Dave from Random Technology a welcome. If you decide on cats with the headers you'll get theirs which out flow the competition.

I'm thinking this is a good time to start considering this swap. It took me a little bit, but after reading this thread I'm ridiculously excited too. And I haven't even started anything yet.
Currently just doing homework on a swap for my 99 2-door Tahoe
It really is a kick-ass swap. We're doing one in a C4 Corvette for Corvette Fever magazine, and when we first proposed using a 5.3, we had the usual assortment of naysayers questioning the wisdom of replacing a 5.7-liter engine with a 5.3. The thing they overlooked is that if you pull a Tuned Port out of a Corvette, do nothing to a 5.3 but install it, you get an increase of 40+ horsepower. Add a mild cam and ported heads and it's more like a 100-hp increase. Of course if you use a 5.7, 6.0 or 6.2-liter engine, there's even more power on tap. It's just hard to pass on a 5.3 when you can buy a complete engine with accessories and PCM for less than $750. At the other end of the price spectrum is the LS7-- it's obviously not cheap but with a rating of 505 horsepower, it's fun to think about.
A truck or SUV swap is relatively easy because there's more working room. You have good reason to be excited.

Don't know if anyone is interested, but...
'67 project nightmare ls1 swap - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network
I just saw the "prototype" on another members "burb" this weekend, they are SICK!!! Enough interest and they might just build some, they did for the 67-72 crowd. I plan on using them on my 86 6.0 swap.
We looked at building a similar header because of the clearance in between the firewall and frame. That particular header looks like it will go straight into the transmission pan on the OBS trucks but would be easy to offset with just 2 tubes at the collector. Not a bad looking header either.

some more pics.
These are on a 69 burb 5.3/4l60
Does not hit the pan, just enough room to the side. And those headers are bare steel, not even "finished" yet.
