make sure you get the right flywheel and if needed a crank spacer..
ok, do you have any suggestions on what else i might need?
i have another ? i found a 01 6.0 complete, will this work, i was thinkin i read somethin about the newer trucks not havin a throttle cable?
Absolutely, that will work great.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
ok, sounds good. hopefully i can get started in the next week or two. any suggestions greatly appreciated.
i re read the swap guide sticky and from what i understand the 99-02 is different from the 03-06. something about dbw im guessin drive by wire. the engine i found is 01 what would i have to change to make it work in my 05 or should i try to find a newer engine?
do you need a drive by wire TB an control module? or are you using a manual tb
if you need the drive by wire i can hook you up with mine..
which is what you need for your set up.. if you want it PM me its almost new, was told it had 17xxx miles on it but it looked brand new on my engine. i even have a 6.0 wiring harness custom made, but its for DBW. if you want that lemme know too

the engine im lookin at has the crank without the removable spacer does anyone know if it will bolt up to a 5spd.
Whats up guys. Thrasher is looking into picking up my motor. Its an '00 block so it has the iron heads and the longer crank(so it doesn't have the removeable spacer). I've been told that the 4l80e, which is the trans behind the 6.0's, bolts up, TH400, and 1 guy has said that he has bolted up the stock 5spd to his 6.0 when he did his v6 to v8 swap. So were just checking to make sure it will work because I'd hate to sell it to him and it not work![]()
