I got some work done on wednesday. I started to swap out the truck intake for the LS1 intake (Thanks Trtturbo!!!!!). I started with the fuel rails & injectors, removed all the 8mm's and the few 10mm's there were. Then I removed the throttle body and other misc. plugs. Pulled the intake off and boouuughghghgh, dirty all around the ports, but not where it sealed which was good. I then cleaned off around the ports so it was down to shiny aluminum! Then I compared the intakes and started looking on the shop's NAPA Prolink to see if I could get what I needed. I was able to get the intake gaskets and throttle body gasket from NAPA (TB gasket was, I think $8 bucks our cost and intake gaskets were $21 something our cost.). Sadly the intake bolts I had to order from the stealership, and I mean STEALERSHIP. There's 10 bolts, as many of you know, all of which have their own built on grommet thingy's, well anyway, $3.10 A PIECE!!! 30 bucks just in bolts, that I found rediculous, but whatever, I needed them and couldn't find 'em on eBay so I ordered 'em.
All those should be here on Tuesday so I can finish it next week.
I'm gonna have to end up cutting the fuel rail cross-over thing because it's the same height as the stock intake which would defeat the purpose of this whole swap. If anyone's got a camaro fuel rail with a feed and return line let me know, thanks.
Here's some pics of what I got done! (my camera has issues so sorry for the yellow-ish end pics)

I think I'd order the fuel rails from professional products. They have some very nice billet rails for about $150 with fittings and hose to fit the LS1 intake. eBay Motors: 99-04 LS1 COMPLETE FUEL RAIL KIT RETURNLESS CAMARO 909 (item 330217744220 end time Mar-16-08 18:45:18 PDT)

I'd love to get their kit, but I'm kind of on a budget, I'll definitely get them eventually, but right now I just want to get it up and running then go upgrading it. That way I can actually see the performance gains of everything I add.
    Thanks for the link Red.

Wow, so I guess it's been a while since I last updated this thread haha.
Well, to jump to the point the engine swap has been done for a couple months now and the car is a lot of fun!!! The hardest part of the whole swap was the drivers side header due to the steering shaft going right through the middle of it, but it turned out well.
Recently I've just been pecking away at small things like really finishing the exhaust, wiring the gauges, installing the Recaro's, bracing tension arms and what not for drifting, blah blah.
Well anyway, I'm completely open to answering any questions anyone has so please ask!!!

Here's some pics and videos of the finished product, well, finished until i can find something else to do haha.

Thanks! It's real quick from a dig (if i can get traction) or lower speed roll, but it's got 3.73 gears in the rear and the 4 speed auto so to me it seems to not pull as hard on top as I would like. But I'm building the car for drifting this winter so top end isn't really that big of a deal.
But it's still an insanely fun car to drive!!!

damn now that is a tight squeeze. What was the reasoning behind the 2.5-2.75" diameter exhaust? Glad you got it running though

Our roads in Vermont are straight up horrible. The roads are crowned so bad that if I don't hug either the double yellow or the white line I will scrape damn near everywhere. It would have been a lot harder to fit 3" all the way back, so we ran 2.5 after the high flow cats instead, and it was still a little bit tight in some spots, but not too bad. 3" bullet mufflers would have been hard to fit next to the drive shaft like we've got them now.
