Hey guys im pretty sure this a good deal but i want to make sure. I just found an 02 ls1 ss camaro engine with 36k for 1500$ plus shipping. This includes all the sensors, fully assemble heads, all covers too just no intake. Is there anything else i should but for the swap? Ive never done a engine swap before ether but i have done like 4 cam swaps and 2 heads swaps. So i should be pretty capable of doing this right? Any one helpful information will be apprecated!! Thanks Brandon

Yeah, I'd say thats a really good price for that low of miles.

Just write down what you take off and in what order as you go along and you'll have no problems switching engines out. You'll need to swap oil pans, pickup tube and windage tray, crankshaft pulley and water pump along with all your accessories.

Im feel dumb asking this but, what is the windage tray and where is it, Im guessing ive probly seen it i just dont know the correct name of it? Also can i still use my stock torque converter or will i have to replace that to? Also could anyone give me an estimate of how long this procedure will take? wanting to do it in two days.. possible? 8 hour days? I do a cam swap(removing the lifters) in 8 hours with breaks and lunch.

plan 3 days. Windage tray is the metal tray below the crankshaft that stops the oil vapors from getting out of control off the crank as it is slinging it everywhere. Yes, you can reuse the stock converter.

Hey guys im just about to buy an engine lift. Does any one know about how many inches i need the lift to go up? I just dont want to spend and extra $100 for a couple more inches that i dont even need. Also since im new to removing the engine. Does anyone know any useful tips? I already no about the hood in the service position instead of removing it. Thanks alot guys
