I think its crazy with all the Crazy grunt power of HD truck that they can lose 2-3mpg JUST installing wheels and tires... I have tons of customers with Ford 6.0L trucks that lose as much as 5mpg putting 18" wheels on there trucks

I was getting like 19.3ish and now Im getting 17.4/.5ish, its kinda hard to tell the exact amount because the weather was different on both trips, I was driving a little different too, and I had just loaded a different tune. Who knows, power wise there isnt much difference though, Im still happy with the mileage if I slowed it down to 65-70 I could get HIGH teens running 35s so thats not bad for a 7000# truck IMO.

Eh, I like having a much more utilitarian truck and its not my DD so it doesnt hurt the pocket book much since the company truck comes with paid gas Paid 3.48 when I filled up today vs. 3.06 for regular

17+ is Kick ass... Hell anything over 15 is good for such a big rig i agree... I know a ton of ford 7.3 that beg for 14 with a tail wind...

The .61 overdrive ratio is what I contribute to the good mileage.
