Well, good news came for me today, the transmission they handed me today had been serviced some time in the past and the fluid was nice. There wasn't much debris in the pan or present on the magnet. The ID tag was actually there and everything looks proper for a change. They apologized for giving me the other transmission even though they maintained their stance that the other transmission was in good condition.
