Aloha all!
small problem with my tbi... on a dead stop or while driving, if i stomp the gas, it will choke for a sec.... everything is stock on it except for intake... any ideas? also, the trans is creating a check engine fault... when the light comes on, the gears hold till 3k then shift real hard like there is a super shift kit in it, and in the 50-60mph range, it wont kick down into overdrive....... when the light is off, it will shift normal... any ideas???

When did this start, after the intake? Get you a code reader or jumper key from Auto zone to see what code it is.

Common problem relating to a bad throttle position sensor. I rarely have found a bad TPS, usually bad wiring. Also check the engine coolant temp sensor.

ahh ok, ill check thoes out... for the trans problem, i think im just going to drain the pan and see what kind of crap i pull out of there... change the filter and that stuffs... see how it works... thanks guys! ill keep you all posted on how it went...

Haven't done it since I got it... Couple weeks ago... Sounds like a plan!
A bad tps will cause your trans to shift wierd like that.
I had a 95 just like yours and it was doing the same thing! i took it everywhere to see if it was and internal problem but and no one could figure out what was wrong! My dad suggested the spark plugs, I changed them out and never had the problem again!
