    4l60e tranny help!

    i changed a 4.3L V6 to a 5.3L in a 99 silverado
now the problem is that i kept the same tranny and when a floor it it doesn't rev up high the highest it goes is 3 1/2.
i got a tune so it should do that but it does. so if anybody knows what might know whats the problem let me know.

sorry very unclear on what youre asking, i use the same 4.3L 4l60e tranny behind a 6.0 and besides rebuiding tranny and other issues it works fine, so youre saying with a tune it doesnt rev pass 3500 rpms? is the tune a custom street tune or mail order tune/ what kind of tune is it? is there any mods to the 5.3? is it stock ?

That suck you might be better off starting over with a new tune. Who knows what the guy did and how to undo it.
