    Question about heads and cam out of 6.0L.

    Would my stock cam and stock heads do anything for a 4.8L?
    DANIEL CAMMED SS 13.46 @ 98.17-- 8.58 @ 80.31

    i think the heads will they are from a lq9

    No the 317 heads flow better but have a larger combustion chamber so the compression ratio will drop and cancel out any gains the extra flow made. Swapping the cam in would be a waste of time for maybe 5hp.

    agreed so in other words it wouldn't help at all...maybe even hurt a lil bit

    the 317 heads are lq9 right?

    Yes, 317 are the stock heads.

    Yeah, gains would be minimal, but not offset by the amount of time it would take to swap the cam and heads. Not worht it, IMHO.

    Got it backwards the LQ9 has 317 heads, just like the LQ4 has 317 heads.

    317 heads are just a 6.0 head in general
