i unplugged the coolant temp and it still jumps around but most of the time reads zero....i think the harness has a short in it....when it bogs it shifts real hard from 1-2....thats y im thinking theres something wrong with the egr also.

That is often caused by a bad TPS, hard shift from 1 to 2.
