Its time to rebuild my trans again. My friend is a tranny tech for GM. Though he rebuilds them for a living he has never built one for a performace application. He isnt charging me anything to rebuild it but i would like to know what and where to order some parts to beef it up. I have heard about a stronger 3-4 clucth pack and a 13 vain pump {i think thats what i was told} What else should i tell him and is there some specs these need to be set at? I would love more than any thing to have FLT build me one but racing season is coming up and the racecar needs to be repowder coated, set on the jig, and the motor freshened. My truck is not much more than a tow rig and means to my way to work. I still like to put the stuck-in-first-gear-bucking-like-a-retard-wanting-to-race-hemi in its place.
