    Yeah, we went.

We had more fun running a Vette on the way there. Damn that TBSS is fast! That Vette couldn't believe he could hang, even from a dig! He could only pull away in 3rd when aero was in his favor.

I didn't do as well as I thought, but still matched my times with the SC on just a low compression NA motor. Lauching with the stall was a challenge for me, 1st time just boiled them, 2nd time almost ripped the rearend out with wheel hop. 3rd time I just rolled out easy and then hit it.

TBSS went 1 and done, too fast without a helmet. Borrowed a track helmet & backed it up. That thing can hook.

Also had some fun on the way down, I blew a rear tire about 80 mph, shredded it! Dropped off the wheel at Discount, grabbed a bite to eat, picked up the new tire, and rolled to Allen's. Only 30 minutes late. Special thanks to my pit crew, aka Kurt!

Allen figures the stock intake and TB are killing the performance of the 408. Great, something else to buy.

We left at about 7:30. With S.C.s blow out and run in with the vette, we were beat. If we would have known you were going to be there we would have stayed longer.

Yeah, I am looking at everything. Just going to do some research first.

I don't know what it is putting out, not enough I can tell you that. The setup just isn't optimized yet, so I am not freaking out. I figure the TB & intake are worth say 30hp, and I guessed before the build it would have 440hp, so I think I am on track.

Using these formulas I get around 400hp:
    The ET method

This method uses the weight of the car and the time it took that car to travel 1330 feet (¼ mile).
The formula is: hp = weight / (ET / 5.825)3

    The Trap-speed method

This method uses the weight of the car and the speed at which the car completed the quarter-mile run.
The formula is: hp = weight * (speed / 234)3

Yeah, the stock LS1 TB is limiting mine, too. Next week the 90mm UMI TB comes in along with a budget conscious LS2 intake assembly. Picked up everything for $450 shipped . I know Quik won't approve of it but it's mine to play with.

Steer away from the Professional products intake. It uses paper gaskets on the intake to head seal and if everything isn't perfect you will have vacuum leaks. A BBK would be nicer but I'm thinking that since you're going to have a turbo on there one day in the future, leave it be. I'm not sure how much dynamic compression changes with boost but 9.6 cr with 10 psi of boost might be doable. Quik, do you happen to know?
