    Thats how to relearn the PCM to the BCM. I'm thinking that you won't have any success with the 4.3L BCM connected to a V8 PCM, I could be wrong. You'll find out as soon as you crank it up.

    yeah your going to have to get someone to disable the VATS for you via a tune.. or just someone locally that can do it for you for cheap

    yep...just as an affirmation i tried to start it and it wanted to start and did for about 2 seconds...man...i just wanted to help it a lil bit.

    i really wanted to go on a drive....how long does it take to get a nelson tune?...if i order it tomorrow when should i get it?

    i wanted so bad to drive my truck this wknd....i wanna cry right now!

    You're not the first person to do a conversion and think that they can just use a stock tune. VATS keeps a huge bunch of people from being able to drive their vehicles. A few years back I paid a guy to remove the VATS on my PCM and it still wouldn't start, turns out the guy didn't remove it and just pocketed my money. Allen fixed it for me.

    i did the exact same thing. i didnt need a tune! basiaclly i only had the problem of the security light. once i did the relearn, started right up. everything is v6 except the motor, acc, harness, fuel line,... i re used the 02's and maf i believe.

    keep vats, its not an issue, plus the motor isnt in something its not supposed to be in. like ours..
