your truck dies because you need a tune. My cam is pretty big and the engine is swinging one heavy torque convertor and the truck idles just fine at a stop. The adjustable MAF sensor is there so you can fatten up your fuel mixture. You're slapping a bandaid on your knee for a scrape on your elbow. Fix the true problem, get the tune fixed.

Post your friend's name so nobody that reads this forum accidently hires him to do a tune.

Allen tunes for big cams all the time! They idle and start up fine. It takes a good bit of work to tune one.

it idles fine in park and starts up fine....

Only time it dies is when i sometimes come to a stop and the rpm surges up and down and dies while in drive...

Yeah your cam isn't 'big' - no offense. How long have you been having the problem? Have you put on a CAI or anything lately? Mine behaved like that both after my CAI, my homemade ram air setup, and my ported throttle body.

Yeah, I'd hate to say it (along with everyone else), but it is the tune. When I did my cam, it stayed alive without the tune, and it was even better with it. I have it die on me every now and then when it put it into reverse when it is cold... But whatever problems you are having is all related to your tune. Either send it back to Charlie or drive down and get a live tune done.

dude, i'm getting sick and tired of your BS dude... you seem to always chime in and talk crap about me and what i have done to my truck.. i'm all ears in hearing peoples advice thats why i'm on here.. but you seem to always talk negative to me just because you have alot more spending to use in your build up with your truck... If you cant talk to me in a respective way.. dont say anything at all... thats my .02 cents

I tune my own truck and trust me....its the tune!My truck still dies every now and then but thats because Ive got it idled so low.Add about 200 rpm to your idle and adjust your rpm error numbers and it will idle just fine. The pcm is trying to correct the idle and its not doing it quick enough. If your using HPTuners send me a copy of your tune and Ill take a look at it for ya.
