    just a thought

i have been flip flopping back and forth between just dropping another 5.3 back in or going up to a 6.0. and the reason is because i dont plan on modding whatever i get too much. so if thats the idea why not put a 8.1 in? i see tehm going for the same thing 6.0's go for. and they make tremendous torque. in a 1500 it would be nasty wouldnt it. its probably not a straight swap is it? probably need motor mounts at least. so whats the deal on the BB would the wiring not even be the same?

I'd do a 502 long before an 8.1. It may be tough to pass an emissions test with one but the 8.1 is a dog an when was the last time you saw any performance parts for one?

    Speaking from experience.

I should have kept the Procharger and built a forged 370.

In hind sight, I should have left it stock...but where is the fun in that???

Try to get a 6.0L, but don't wait around too long. If nothing decent shows up, just get a 5.3L. Since you already have a 5.3L with a bunch of mods, it might be better for you if you go with a 5.3L again. But a big Hell No the the 8.1L. If you plan on staying N/A, do a forged 370... I am with SC on this!
