    help me out here guys!

    so my truck goes rich at idle if it sits too long idling.but i go up the rd .and it goes lean immediately i guess because the pcm tells it too go lean,idk..i sent allen a scan and he said im basically have a exhaust leak causing my o2s too go crazy. my rear02s are disabled.allen says look between the head and the o2 for exhaust leaks.that only leaves were the collector is hooked too the ball and socket.,actually no ,the front o2s are before the ball and socket .i keep getting po171 po174 codes ,he says the trims are fine but the o2s are fine as soon as im off idle.will any exhaust leak cause this ,?is it because my rears arent even plugged into anything?im lost for ideas ,ide appreciate any ideas.or suggestions .i know i have a few taps but theyre further back than the front o2s.what the hell.i did just replace my header gaskets.cmon guys i m sick of clearing codes with the interceptor gauge.im running out for a min. but i will brb.too answer any questions.thanks,i need too solve this its annoying the sht out of me .

    my buddy has had the same probem. and its only in the winter time. wen its cold out.
    he said he doesnt have an exhaust leak. so we where thinking it might be a bad o2?? but i havent personally checked it out. im just going by what he says.

    mine happened whith cold weather 2 but allen says o2s are fine .interesting.

    I would wonder about the fuel pump controller or the boost bypass causing the issue. If the fuel pump controller boosted the voltage up and started giving you more fuel all the sudden, the minimum injector duty cycle at idle may not be able to compensate for it to reduce the injectory pulse width enough to keep 14.7. Is there a setting in the controller that won't allow it to bump the voltage up under a specific rpm level?

    Sorry, just tossing out odd ideas for an odd setup I'm not too familiar with.

    I would suggest installing an electronic fuel pressure gauge so you can keep track of the pressure levels when you're having these problems. Cold temps affect spring rates and I wonder how it affects the spring rate of the fuel pressure regulator.

    interesting red i have had the same thought b4.the fpc is aeromotive if you want too look at the site .and ive got the f/p thats like 600 bucks ,dont have in front of me the number.it was the most exp setup they had ,the worse thing is i went through hell installing the setup theyre techs had no clue,they didnt even know i could hook directly too the tach wire ,they had me buy 2 diff msd tach adapters ,when it didnt work they went duh.come 2 find out you just hook directly too the tach wire for the fmu tokick higher amps at certain rpm.anyhow i saw you had some aero stuff thought i fill you in.the funny thing is that the pump is set too kick in at 3000 rpm to higher amperage.youve got a good point ,ive been relating it too boost and gas pedal movement,the lean condition that is ..it does boost pressure at 3k on the pumpive hooked to the schrader and went down the rd 2 c if it was working properly.it boost the pressure like 3 psi after 3 k.i wish i could just have went without it but aero says you need it for long distance driving so the pump doesnt get too hot.maybe we could put our heads 2gether and figure this out ,allen had a aero setup on the vette but i dont know if he had the fmu.thanks for the thought ,ill be waiting for more input or sugg.

    oh yeh i forgot too say i went through my whole exhaust today put band clamps and high temp sil on all welds,like allen said too only thing i didnt touch was the ball and socket setup foe the collectors cause theyre was no evidence they were leaking,plus the bolts were starting to rust and i didnt want too fight them ,and guess what red it didnt help,but it is alittle quieter,.youre idea is making me wonder now.

    i know it was the more exp 1 ,im trying to thinkk of the diff.i know mine has the lights i dont think the other does.actually 16302 is p/n billetfuel pump speed controller
