    HPTUNER help ,

Hey guys, I need some help!! with the software .I have a pcm I got from Allen and the Hp tuners software I got from Allen
( long story but I have my original pcm and 2 NP pcms)
My Truck wont start with the new pcm, the one i just got in november. VATS must be on. Truck starts with my original and the NP pcm i got in august.
PMed with Allen and he wants me to read the PCM with the software and Email him the file. I know this is Standard operating procedure.
I am unable to read the PCM in qestion. The software tells me that the "NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN EXCEEDED" .........this is on the very first time I hooked it up.
I spoke with the girls in the shop twice and they assure me that I will get a return call , Been about a week.

Any body have any ideas, Am i doing something wrong. I read the direction in the help section of the software, Printed them out and followed them. Starts to read, pics up the vin and calibration number, COMPLETES the first two lines and then stops.

Any body got any pointers, direction , input as what could be the problem? I do nt want to be using credits or break some thing/ corrupt a computer.
    Thanks steve

Should take nothing more than "read entire" under the Flash option. You MUST have the key on for about 10 seconds before it will read.

The PCM your trying to read could possibly be locked with a previous tune. Where did you get the new PCM Allen or someone else?

Yeah, if Allen locked the pcm by accident you won't be able to read it at all.

    Hello Steve
I ran it through with him and like i said he needs you to send the pcm that is locked (the one you can not read) for us to send you another one. Its policy. He will be able to help you out as soon as he gets back in town. In order for us to send out a pcm i need that one back.
He will give you a call i can assure you on that.
    Thanks

Hey Steve, I'll give you a call today and get it sorted out or I'll send out another pcm if that one is giving us trouble.

btw, I have your message from voice mail (records time and date of calls), you left a message on the 28th of this week, and Lisa emailed you yesterday ensuring you I'll get a hold of you today, just as a courtesy. I didn't get all calls returned on the 28th, I just delivered the Cop Tahoe today, so I was out and literally just got back, and now I'm catching up on yesterday's and today's calls. Unless you called and didn't leave a message, the only one I have is from the 28th.

I'll call you today and we'll get everything going,

    allen
