    It was worth the visit. I love to see other's carnage first hand, too. I'll do something with the crank, it looks pretty good. Bearings were all in decent shape. You took pretty good care of it until you blew it. Saw a few valve dings in piston tops. Must have had some springs getting weak or you floated them sometime.

    That would correspond with the bent valves that Jeff now owns! Pieces of death metal were caught up between them it looked like.

    for all the stuff yall are talkin.... jus spend the money and make it simple. drop a crate motor in or LKQ motor. screw tryin to save this and that. i bet you'll spend more tryin to save parts than if you just started all over man

    Umm...OK.

    I already built a 408 & installed it. I just gave the motor to Red for a project he was doing. We knew there might not be any usable parts, but it was the right price for him...free.

    Like a friend of mine always says,

    Free over comes many faults.
    2006 1500 CC/SB with the 5.3L and Nelson PCM.
    soon to come is a intake and exhaust. (wifes truck)

    Other vehicle is a 03 2500HD CC/SB 6.6L DMAX straight piped and Edge stacked with Superchips and gauges, Loves to eat rice for sure! Fartcan exhaust makes it better!

    I haven't looked them over carefully yet, but I'm sure with a few new valves the heads will work like new.

    lol, who would have imagined the spectacle this would cause.

    I have a few parts I can use, even if it's just for a cool paperweight at the office. All the guys there know me as a gearhead, anyway.
