I believe you it's just the way I took it. No problem. I could mill that bracket in our Bridgeport and rethread the rod to fit with no problem at all. As far as the belt integrity don't thin there will be any issues. I've run cut belts like that and I've also cut another groove in my balancer running a 4 rib belt with no issues.

ya, such a simple idea, thanks Nitrous.
    Sometimes that's just overlooked, hahah.

The only thing we're concerned about it the longevity of a very long 6 rib belt, but if it lasts 15-20k miles, that's long enough. I know Radix owners who have to replace every 10K, doh.

    thanks again,
    allen

If it doesn't work let me know and I'll fix the bracket and tensioner to tighten it. You'd need to verify belt length though. I'd hate to cut something and it not work.

allen ive done the same thing the whole time ive been s/c ed i use a 7 rib and cut 1 off for 6 months now .no issues .but the 1st time i wasnt soo carefull and when i was cutting i slipped a tiny bit onto the 6 rib of it and it did chew it quickly since then no problems, good luck ,and go very slowly when cutting with razor knife ,they slip intoo the other groove ,lay it nice and flat ,if you cut in the least bit of an angle it wont work.good luck hope it helps.

Street and Performance may have the belt since they sell the a/c kit and magnachargers.

I agree with Greg, call Lambert and he'll tell you if they have a belt.

567234ta, you're welcome. I'll be glad to help out but hopefully S&P can help.

Might as well state the obvious here - if you do cut a belt to make it work cut two and carry the 2nd as a spare...
