I have had alot of **** go on outside of that relationship over the last few months and it has changed me. Nothing to do with her, **** happens, Ill chalk it up to wrong timing on my part. There is some things had they been different that the relationship could have worked but its pointless to sit back and second guess everything. Im just going to start getting out more and try and meet some new people in Austin and hang out with old friends from Houston. I have lived in Austin for almost 2 years and havent met hardly anybody because I have worked so damn much and been in a relationship so that took up my spare time that wasnt used working on the truck or working. Im going to get back into playing soccer like I used to and get into some other sports that I enjoy.

okay guys i held back my tongue for too long. To be honest with you SLOW i think you werent being yourself at first and now that you are she still expecting you to roll over for her.
I agree with alot of what you guys are saying you need to treat us alil raw sometimes but not be as ass. you should take that role being a "man" and give your opinions not just agree with her all the time.
you need someone to hang out with especially with the guys and still have those feminine aspects when your alone together.
Yes I am 23years old and engaged. Im happier than ever. Ive see my future with him and i can not tell express in words how i feel about him. But i know my life would have been completely different if i chose to live that single party life. You have that choice now so take and run with it.

But now that your single damn it have the time of your life. Be happy and remember to always wear a condom!

I was being myself from the beginning, its just over the last few months things have changed between us and I have been really edgy and tired since I have two multi-story projects going on that Im in charge of inspecting and so Im constantly stressed along with some other personal stuff I have had a rough last few months and unfortunately it bled over into our relationship. Im glad I found out now that she wouldnt stick with me through the hard times rather then a few years from now. Everything happens for a reason and whatever the reasons truely were for us going our seperate ways we did and its over and done with. Time to move on, doesnt mean I dont miss and still wish we could be together but I couldnt be with her the way things were. She made her decisions and I made mine, those decisions didnt keep us together unfortunately.

Well things do happen for a reason and The way you talk about her you can tell you miss her. But there are more fish in the sea or how ever you want to phrase it but i know you will be happy only if you choose to be. So dont go worry what shes doing now just let it be.

slow, this quote is the key brother.. i dated a girl all through out high school. i graduated, then she graduated a year later. i found a good paying job, and she went off to college. plans to get married, have a family, the works..

as soon as she went to college, a month later i found out she was cheating on me. we had been dating for 4 yrs. at that point. after we split up, it drove me nuts and i always wanted to know what she was doing, even though she had done that **** to me. i was just being young and dumb.

we had a lot of mutual friends and they all sided with her and her pathetic story. i finally just lost it, quit my job, left my family and moved myself and what little i had to texas, to work for my old man. selfish i know, but it's the only way to get away from her and try to get myself back on track.

the moral to my story is, just leave her be now.. don't answer her calls, or return them if she leaves messages. if it wasn't meant to be, don't worry about her. it will just drive you crazy.

Your relationship dating should be fun. If it is that much work now, be sure you don't get married to her. When it is right to be with someone, you will know. Now get out there and meet some UT chicks!

and be yourself and if they dont like you for you, 3 F's bro. if I can find A girl that is sweet, funny, smart, careing, loyal, and puts up with me, you can too. Just dont settle for anything, know what you want and go get it, or wait for it.

Some good relationship advice found here kiddos... But there are a few things that need to reign supreme:
1. Don't ever settle.
2. Don't try and be someone you are not.
3. Don't sweat the petty stuff; don't pet the sweaty stuff.
4. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
5. Kicking a dead horse is just that---move along...
6. Don't ever bring your work home with you.
I am not going to try and counsel you about this crap. You sound like you know what you want, so stick to it. You are young, so relish in the fact that you are single and have no strings tying you down. Don't go out and try to find someone--it will happen when you least expect it. Just go on with your daily life, leaving other crap behind that may drag you down emotionally--we are guys and emotional stuff is for the birds... Just chalk it up for experience sake. It will only make you the wiser...

It's good to have the female input on this type of stuff, but come on Melissa! It is wayyyyy more fun to go off and get absolutely retarded--so that you DON'T remember what you did!

It's more fun hanging out with the guys laughing and trying to remember just what in in the heck you did the night before... It provides for great story telling...

All I know is Im going to happy hour tomorrow night with some buds from work, friday night I got a date for some dinner and dancing, saturday is going to be spent passed the hell out, and sunday Ill be working on pulling the motor and trans back out of the truck. Atleast the first part of my weekend will be fun

Ill be making a trip up to Dallas to hang out with some of the Dallas crew in a few weeks for sure, sounds like ya'll have fun. TX, when I come up there we need to hit up the soccer fields, been a couple years since Ive played and cant wait to get back into it.
