I don't have any of the AC components on the truck as of right now, AC upper/lower hoses, or the compressor. But my question is, do I need any of these to run my heater in the winter? If I can get away with not having an AC up until feb that would be awesome.

You can run your heat without the a/c installed.
I didn't think you needed heat down there in Texas, lol
The a/c compressor does help by blowing dryer air to help the defroster on cold or humid days.
