It doesn't effect it that much honestly. A 2600 is a very streetable stall that only flashes to 2600 if you stick your foot in it like 1/2 way or more--and then at that point, you'll probably get a downshift anyway... My 2600 is perfect for driveability and has not lowered my mpg at all. What are your future plans for your truck? A 2600 might not be for you, depending on what you want to accomplish.

Well for now its my daily driver, just looking to boost performance and not kill gas milage as i have a 40 mile commute daily so it has to maintain mileage. My knowledge of converters is non existant at best im still reading and learning about them. Just read about the Yank 2400-2600 stall and it seemed like a good starting point. Once i get the converter though the G-80 might blow so i might do those 2 mods together so i dont have to get a tow to the house. But probally going to get the computer and LT's next. Then the converter and an Auburn diff and the trans go kit...

If you do a lot of highway driving, there will be almost no change. I have a Yank 3000 and I still get anywhere from 18-21 on the highway. It hits you hardest when doing city driving, but even then, that is a VERY streetable stall.

Well most of my driving is in town bump and grind and some free way driving.... But if its not going to be that bad then I'll give it a try and see how i like it. Im sure the performance gain will be great.
