    Alt plug question

ok so i have a 130 amp alternator on my truck which is an 2002....... i have a 145 amp alternator off of a 2005 truck sitting in my room..... which i want on there badly.....

but the plug that plugs into the alternator is different... the 05 looks like a 2 pin type and the 02 that is on there now has the appearance of a 3 pin plug.....

how do i do this conversion?? so i just go to an alternator shop and have them wire it up?? is there a plug that will go from 3 to 2?? did i waste money??

    any help would be lovely

This would be a good topic for a tech write-up once you figure it out. This question has been asked numerous times and I don't know if anyone ever really posted up how to handle it.

Step 1: Sell alternator sitting on floor in room.
Step 2: Go buy one for a 99-02 truck.
Step 3: Put it in without ANY problems.
Step 4: Make sure to thank me for being soooooo smart.

    Thumbs up

15A isn't going to do much. But, the part is about $8 last I recall. It's just the end plug.
