My problem is driver side of the rad. gets extremely hot (can't touch with hand) and the pas. side is ice cold. Temp. gauge runs one mark past 210 deg.(225?)[/b]
When overheating on one side happened on my '86 C10, turned out the guy that installed modified heads on my 5.3L installed the gasket on backwards. I couldn't drive my truck farther than 2 miles without hitting EPM. If you've ever run that high, the PCM shuts off half the injectors. Engine will run like crap. Might want to check that. Otherwise, check to see if you have the right steam tube setup you need. Some trucks used the I-shaped tube for venting steam b/t the front & rear of both heads. SUVs and other trucks only have a steam tube that vents on the front of both heads. I have the I-shaped setup that I had to JB-Weld to seal. <--- cracked it while trying to reshape it to the proper shape. Sealed great with no leaks, but I don't need it, as I have the second of the two types of heads.
