Ok im new here and iv been reading about all the 5.3 engine swaps and ls1 swaps into the old body style trucks and its seems kinda dificult. what i want to know is the basic things i would need to swap out to andy of the LS engines. I dont need the ac or anything like that i just want to drop in the motor and make it run. what parts exactly would i need to do this and how much would it cost me all together. my truck has the original 5.7l HO engine in it with i guess the 4l60e transmission, its ext cab and 2wd. getting an engine is no propblem i can just go to a junkyard and get one but i would juss want to know what it takes to drop in an LS engine in and make it run. Pics would greatly be apreciated.
