Hi sheldoncooper. Hi HRV-LS1. I'm a Calif. member as well, dreaming of the ultimate LS swap. We face a lot of problems with engine swaps here. Have you had a chance to talk to your referee station as of yet? I'd love to know what they say. More importantly, are you doing your own swap or are you hiring? I'll want help. I can do most everything needed to complete a swap but cannot do it where I live so I have to hire a "professional." I have a regular mechanic but he does careless things like beating on my freshly powdercoated parts with a ballpeen or leaving out bolts that were there previously with the excuse that "you had two already, the third one isn't necessary." Wow! right? I once had him replace my fuel pump for me and my system has an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I explained to him how to dial it down so that it wouldn't be pumping too much fuel with the new pump. he didn't dial down the pressure for me. It's a good thing that I checked it before I drove off because if I had exited onto that busy street and gassed it even the smallest amount then it would have choked out and forced me to pull over to do it elsewhere.
I just can't bring myself to trust a guy like that to such an involved surgery.
First things first though, I need an LS.
So what are you doing for cargo management in your trucks? I'm in Orange County. I make the Saddlebox. It's a system of compartments that keep your cargo in place. Hit me up.
