If you got the PCM with it you will be able to tell by the VIN once you get someone to download or hook up to it. The 97/98 PCM was a real bastard child in the LS world and is actually very valuable to the right person. Most people just upgrade to a 99+ harness and PCM to take advantage of faster processors and more agressive base tunes. The 97/98 pcm is highly sought out by collectors and a few people doing conversions with the older Painless wiring harness.
