Interesting. Not saying you're wrong, but in my experience the oil restrictor has always been needed. I figure that restricting oil flow too much will sieze the turbo while over-oiling it will just push oil past the seals but still allow the turbo to spin. Over-oiling has happened to me a few times How big are the turbos with -6 feed and -12 drain? I'm assuming they're pretty big.
