No power inside cab?
I went through and removed 90% of the engine wires preparing to put my 5.3/4L60E into my 94 GMC 1500, and this weekend I was wiring up the 5.3/4L60E harness and I have no power inside the cab?
Im guessing I deleted the main feed wire for the cab when I was deleting the un-needed OBS wires. I ran a temporary wire from the battery to the distribution panel on the firewall, and that gave me power inside the cab, but no power to the blower motor.
I ran a keyed wire to the 5.3 harness for key on power, and when that wire has power, I can remove the wire i ran to the firewall and I will still have power inside the truck, but then I cannot spin the starter.
Also, sometimes I can key off and take the key out and there will be no power inside the cab, but other times I can key off and remove the key and there is still power inside the cab, I have to remove the wire I ran to the firewall to get the power in the cab to turn off.
I cannot remember, was there a wire that ran to the alternator to inside the cab on the OBS engine? It was originally a 5.0L/4L60E. If it cant be figured out, can I run a wire to the in cab fuse box to remedy the problem?
