Since I've done my swap 3 years ago when I changed all fluids I haven't changed the transmission fluid . I've logged about 45,000 miles since then . I'd thought about taking it to a shop where they could flush it but I am told not to on an automatic (4l60) with 120,000 miles . So this is my question - since you can't flush the TC is there a way to get some of the old fluid out such as disabling the ignition system and turning the engine over ? Or does it even matter at this many miles ? Thanks . PS , what's the best way to disable the ignition system ?
