Hello all, new to the board here. Recently, my L31 took a dump on me on the interstate and instead of fixing it up, I want to upgrade....... and heavily at that. I want to drop an LS1 into my 1998 2 door Tahoe. I JUST recently completely replaced the old tranny with a BRAND new 4L60E unit. My questions are simple: Will an LS1 bolt up to this tranny, how involved of a process is it to swap this engine into the Tahoe, and what MAJOR modifications need to be done? I know wiring and fuel system upgrades are a must, but is there anything else I am missing? Also, what parts off of the old Vortec can be reused, i.e. radiator, etc. Thanks!!
