Hello,

question 1. What are the injector sizes for the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0?

question 2. Are my 4.8 injectors large enough for the mods listed in sig?

In 92* weather the truck was showing 98% duty cycle.

question 3. In cool weather, do you think that they may be running out of steam and causing some detonation, causing timing to drop?

please let me know if you guys think I may run into issues or if anyone else can relate to this problem

Get bigger injectors! Buy the injectors from Allen to do a direct swap into your truck and get him to update your tune for them. If you don't have one of his tunes, now would be the perfect time to buy one.

I have a tune already, I am in kentucky and it makes it tough to mail order a tune when i have mods done to the truck. I am sure allen does extremely good work, just not the correct route for me. I am interested in injectors but you never told me any sizes or anything, what are mine?? what are his?? And how much does one of his tunes run? maybe if I cant get it right it may be a consideration.

I am running 42lb/48lb@58psi Delphi injectors in my LS1 with no issues. It's nice to know that no matter what I do to this engine short of forced induction that I will have plenty of fuel. My 28.8 stockers were maxed out even with the factory setup/intake/headers.

in a 5.3 yes they are #24 in the 2001 up, however, this man has a LS1..which correct me if im wrong, are 28 pounders. I would run soem 42's, and tune them back...gives you room in the future to play a bit,

    Cool

4.8-6.0 are the same after '00, early were lower power so had smaller injector.

    8.1s are 30-31lbs

There are Marine/OEM Delphi 44s if you look around.

with your mods you might be maxing out your IDC have you check it lately?

if it's too hight then go with the 8.1 31# injectors.

ls1 f-bodies and y-bodies came with 26# and 28# injectors but they'll require different wiring connectors for your truck.

thanks for all the replys guys, i dont know what this crazy piece of shit is doing, I am totally unhappy with everything, there are really too many issues to list. I do have all the accesories, along with the intake and injectors from the 4.8. We downloaded an 2002 pcm program into it today and got it close but after driving a bit, it now detonates bad when I punch it in low gear. Maybe I do need some injectors, i will look for some 8.1 litre injectors to see if i can find some, that might cure my troubles.

I feel like I am bugging my tune man about this thing, but it really sucks to drive, since the vigilante has been in it, there has been nothing but trouble and unhappiness by me. I think I am going to purchase some software that will enable me to do everything myself so that I dont feel like a pest. I want to purchase the C.A.T.S. software! Does anyone know where to get it at the cheapest? I also want it so that I can use on multiple vehicles since i have the others. My torqu converter is constantly unlocked when cruising the interstate if the trans temp is about 200 or so.....anywhere below that it is locked, or if I give it about 15% throttle it will lock up, what the hell is this all about?

thanks for all your input, and please tell me some more, maybe someone else has had these same issues!!

    Jarrod
