I received some used gears for cheap and after inspecting them i only saw a couple minor problems. One the inside of the ring gear 4 teeth have minor flat spots that i believe can be machined out. And on the pinion only 1 tooth has a minor nick in it. Also i believe these can be machined out. These are 373 gears with 50k on them and came out of a z71.

    What do yall think?

Trash them. Damaged teeth destroy gears and diffs, too, if on the tooth contact faces.

ill get yall some pics posted. They are very small. They look like it has been wore in those couple spots. I am talking about 1/2 centimer spots. They are on the very tip of the tooth on the inside of the ring. Very small.

If you have to do any machine work on gears do like RHB says and chunk them!
