Those will support way more than 500 hp especially if they are rated 44lb at 43PSI of fuel instead of 58PSI.

According to the Endres book, Fuel amount required = HP times approximately .500 F=HP*.5 so 500HP requires 250 lbs of fuel flow per hour. Divide that by 8 and you need just over 30 lph. If using a power adder use .6 instead of .5 in the formula.

A Lucas 42.5 injector will supply fuel for 786hp at 100% and 629 at 80% IDC using the .5 value(naturally aspirated). The injector is truly a 49.1 lb unit.
