Thread: Fender Foam?

    Read the magnacharger install manual, and I wondering what the hell is the can of spray foam for in the fender well? My thought process tells me expanding foam+$30k pick-up= stupid move. But that is just me anyone who knows the purpose of this please let me know.
    2004 Chevy/Regency RST, 6.0L LQ4, custom built NV MG-5 tranny by local Tranny Guru, Hurst Shifter, K&N FIPK, stock Regnecy Exhaust, 3.73 gears w/ Eaton Locker, and the Magnacharger huffer topping it off w/ stock pulley... for now

    umm.... it is for the sound it keeps the sound under the hood that the SC makes

    Lol I was going to skip it if it was just to keep whine down. Why would you want to muffle sc whine?

    I&#39;d be more afraid the foam would hold moisture in the fenders and rust them from the inside-out.

    Like I said expanding foam+&#036;30k pick-up =

    Personally I wouldnt do it. I have it on mine and it doesnt do crap to keep the noise down. You can hear it loud and proud. If I did the install I wouldnt have done the foam, and it had already been done before I could say anything.
