Heat inside the engine compartment is like, saying that snow is a concern in the north pole dude

there million ways to reflect the turbo heat inside the engine comparment. inexpensive that is!!!!!!

For What I know the syclone/typhoon had a like that setup, and the engine was balance quite well !!!!!!!!

Just waiting for some test and diving to it !!!!

Yeah but a hot turbo glowing red all over the pipes and turbo well nothing else seems to get that hot.
Just an opinion I really only know enough to make myself out to be a dumba$$

This may not be the best example, but think of it as this:

Think of all the piping that is routed to get water to your house. All the turns and connections. Now turn the water on, is there any issue with pressure? No, you'll have plenty.
This may be over simplifying, but the exhaust just needs to be pressurized. You could have the wierdest routing for exhaust, bolt a turbo on the end of it and it's still going to make power.
Hope this helps, just my opinion of course.

So you are saying there is more than enough pressure in the system to iver come the small amount of loss the bends in the exhaust prior to the turbo create????

So including the cost of the setup what are the advantages of having the turbo up front vs in the back..... Yes I just asked that

Nice setup, what stopping someone from making the intercooler piping(custom) and put a front mount on? Where did u get that motor looks like it was involved in a fire or somethin, hehe. Props to Trick Inc. nice work.

he sprayed this engine with flat black, there was a post a few days ago that he asked what we thought about it on haha. i was concerned with the engine compartment heat as well, but seeing as ricers do it all the time and they have no probs i dont see why itd make a difference now "thats why they make hoods with heat extractors built in them." as far as how it "looks" personallyt i thought the custom manifold on the pass side looked awesoem and very clean. i think it looks nice, wish it was easier to do to a stock LQ4 but when u got that bolted on its not gonna be "easy" good job overall, cant wait to see the final finished product for stock engines(intercooled). other than pistons and rods, what else on the 6.0 wouldnt hold up to this beast?

So allen what benefits are there to having the turbo in the front as opposed to in the rear besides costs?

For starters, oil drainback isn't an issue. Less $$$$ tubing to get the air from the turbo to the intake. No electronics should be necessary for the front turbo. The STS requires a pump and miles of wiring to be hooked up, lots of tubing, clamps and silicone joints.
