I was wondering if i should go with 3.73 or 4.10's? I have a 2005 chevy truck with a 4.8, mods are transgo shift kit, yank2600 stall and a nelson performance tune. I have 3.43 now. I have been reading everyones posts on here for a while but i don't think i have seen anything about which gears to go with

If you had asked this a few months ago I would have said 3.73's. Since I just went from 3.42's to 3.73's I have now changed my opinion. Go with the 4.10's.

It all depends on the OD of tires that you're running. 3.73s might be good for 27" tires but not worth a damn on 32s. 4.10s might be too high for 27s. 4.56s would be good on 29 or bigger tires. Its all a matter of how fast do you want to turn your engine at cruise speed or is this a race only vehicle? You could even go up to 4.88s if it's race only.

You will want 4.10s and up for sure. Red is right on with his points.

I have 4.10's with 285/55/20 tires and they are just about perfect! I dont think I would have been happy with 3.73's and 4.56's would have been a bit much.. hope this helps.
